The Kloof Rotary Anns invite you to visit the six stunning gardens open for viewing at this year's fund-raiser event.
Garden 1: 36 Haygarth Road, Kloof (Kevin and Nolene Dunn)
This garden has a dramatic sweep of lawn with a deep, informal border of mixed plantings on the one side and layers of interesting shrubs on the other. There are very old, established trees which together with a canopy of borrowed landscaping, gives the garden a feeling of yesteryear. There is a mixture of exotics and indigenous plants and roses thrive in sunny spots. At the rear of the house, stone walls give rise to a second garden and sweeping lawn. An enclosed vegetable and herb garden are also on this level.
THE Kloof Rotary Anns invite you to meander through six lovely indigenous and exotic gardens at its annual Open Gardens fund-raiser on Saturday, 5 and Sunday, 6 October.
The sizes of the gardens range from two-acre plots to small and medium complex gardens.
Again, water storage tanks will be evident throughout and Ludwig’s Roses is on the route this year.
Highbury Centenary Hall is the venue for the organisation’s tea and crafts stalls. Wors rolls will also be available at Garden 3.
Tickets cost R60 each and children under 12 enter for free.
Each ticket allows entrance to all six gardens and refreshments. Tickets are available at the entrance to each garden and can be purchased before the event at the Kloof Village Mall SuperSPAR and the Watercrest SuperSPAR. All gardens are wheelchair friendly.
