SA pride strong at St Mary’s DSG

The learners at St Mary's DSG were only too excited to take learn more about rugby and throw their support behind our boys in green and gold!

TO celebrate their South African pride, St Mary’s DSG, Kloof primary school girls chose to celebrate the Rugby World Cup 2019 in style.

The girls arrived at school dressed in green and gold in support of the Springboks. The morning kicked off with their Saints Sisters family chatting about the Rugby World Cup and completing a Kahoot Quiz.

Cute Bok fans, Georgina Bruwer and Lilitha Sithole, enjoy the rugby training activities at St Mary’s DSG, Kloof.

After break, the different classes broke up into teams, each representing the various participating countries.

The senior primary girls competed in a fun touch rugby tournament while the junior primary girls participated in a series of fun rugby training activities. There were shrieks of laughter as the girls learnt more about the game of rugby.

Festive music blared across the fields, with classics such as Hier Kom die Bokke, Impi and Shosholoza.

The staff said they thoroughly enjoyed watching their learners have a ball of fun.
