Hillcrest charity shop finds new home

The Highway Hospice Charity Shop in Hillcrest has relocated to the Hillcrest Centre.

FIND a treasure trove of pre-loved goodies at the Highway Hospice’s newly relocated charity shop in Hillcrest.

The spacious new store, based at the Hillcrest Centre on the lower ground level (entrance near the BP garage), is filled to the brim with clothing and kitchenware to linen, books and everything in-between.

It opened its doors on Wednesday, 11 September and is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm, on Saturday from 8.30am to noon and is closed on Sundays and public holidays. There is ample and safe parking available.

All proceeds made from the sale are given to Highway Hospice in Sherwood for the care of its patients.

The staff and volunteers appeal to locals to make in-kind donations at the shop. The Highway Hospice will collect the goods if the donation is too big to drop off. To organise a collection, contact 031 709 2647. Monetary donations can be made in-store as well.

“We would absolutely love your support and it is amazing that a give, no matter how small, is always appreciated and goes a long way in supporting the Highway Hospice,” said the NPO’s HOD, Sheryll De Jager.
