Caxton staff wear black on Friday 13

CAXTON Local Media, Durban branch staff donned black last Friday (September 13) in solidarity with the women and children victims of violence.
The annual crime statistics for financial year 2018/19 released by the Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele on Thursday, 12 September reveal that all Sexual Offences increased by 4.6 per cent.
Sexual offences, in fact, soared from 8 759 reported cases to 9 308 and rape in KZN increased from 7 243 to 7 667.

Gender-based violence and anti-xenophobia awareness group, Emancipate Africa, organised a march against sexual abuse and xenophobia on Old Main Road in Hillcrest on Saturday, 14 September at noon.
