The Pinetown couple celebrate their anniversary with friends and family at the weekend.

LOVING Pinetown couple, Hugo and Jenny Krull, celebrated 60 years of marriage on Thursday, 5 September.

They met at the Durban Corporation, Jenny was in the typing pool and Hugo was a student.

They went out for a few years and Hugo popped the question on 9 May in 1959 and they said their vows a few months later.

The couple lived in Durban but moved to their Pinetown home in 1963 and still reside there to this day.

Hugo and Jenny are both born again Christians and work closely with Christ Church Pinetown. Hugo hosts two Bible studies per week, which he has done since he retired and thoroughly enjoys it.

Their love of travel is evident as they holiday four times a year, either to Margate, Eastern Transvaal and Underberg or to Cape Town or St Lucia.

Their doting children describe them as kind, generous and caring as they are always looking out for others and help when and where they can.

Hugo, at 84, and Jenny, at 85, are still very active and Jenny enjoys nothing more than whipping up full meals for the two of them most days.

They were joined by friends and family at the weekend to celebrate their 60-year marriage milestone.
