ENTERTAINING, versatile and energetic are just some of the words used to describe the DJ and music production duo, Rock DaHouse.
Vunnz (Novandre Janaide van Schalkwyk) and Mayo (Mason Cyril Marais), collectively known as Rock DaHouse (RDH), hail from Mariannridge, a small township just outside Pinetown whose housing protests have regularly made national news headlines.

However, these two young men have not let their impoverished circumstances prevent them from following their dreams.
Under the management and guidance of their record label Dunndidit entertainment, Rock DaHouse have crafted a sound that is infectious and distinctly their own. Although currently making a name for themselves in the Gqom music scene, their skills are not limited to just one genre.
The music production is led by Mayo, a multi-instrumentalist with a masterful ear for melody and song arrangement across many genres. Vunnz takes the lead on the decks, seamlessly blending their own sound with other hit records, to keep the crowd moving during their DJ sets/performances.
“Rock DaHouse aims to establish themselves as one of Africa’s top tier DJ /Producer outfits, in the same league as acts like Black Coffee and DJ Maphorisa. With the group developing a sound and live performance that is out of this world, that goal will not be too hard to reach,” said producer, John Dunn.
