Anna-Rose’s compassion overflows

Thomas More College's high school SPAR Star of the Month - August 2019.

THOMAS More College’s Anna-Rose Munn is the school’s high school SPAR Star of the Month.

Anna-Rose Munn is one of the Thomas More College representatives on the Durban Youth Council. She started off on the council year as the director of the HIV and Humanities Committee, but was later promoted to one of its deputy mayors.

During 2019 she has organised the donation of 120 desks from Thomas More College to Imbaliyamazulu Primary School. At the same school, she held three days of interactive crafting activities with learners from Grades 3 to 7 and is now in the process of renovating one of the old buildings into a library.

The passionate teen is also currently holding a book collection drive to help fill the shelves and has collected more than 500 so far. All of the books will be donated to this library.

Another project she organised was gifting underprivileged people around Durban with bags of toiletries, of which she handed out 40. Anna-Rose firmly believes that if you are blessed to have been born with more privilege than someone else, then you are tasked with the responsibility to use it to benefit others.
