Shop for a good cause at the Chic Mamas fundraiser

Funds raised support early childhood development projects.

THE Chic Mamas are busy setting up two days of fantastic fun, fashion and fund-raising for their next event.

The Upper Highway based non-profit organisation raises funds to support early childhood development projects through the sale of quality pre-loved clothing and works directly within neighbouring communities; Reservoir Hills, Clermont and KwaDabeka.

The Chic Mamas team has had a phenomenal year so far with great support from the community in implementing their third project – Zamokuhle Preschool and Creche in KwaDabeka.

The fashion event will take place in The Griffin Room (cricket pavilion) at Westville Boys’ High School, from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday, 27 August and from 9am to 2pm on Wednesday, 28 August.

Everyone is invited to buy excellent quality, preloved clothing for sale at bargain prices. All proceeds go towards ECD projects.

“On the 27, shoppers may also enjoy the Swap4Charity concept where they can bring four to six items of pre-loved quality clothing, and in exchange receive chic tokens to spend at the event.

“With the objective of raising money for the charity, these items are marked up accordingly and added to the rails,”said one of the Chic Mamas, Tori Leckie.
