Teagan Sandstrom from iThemba Recruitment said although it is difficult to find jobs nowadays it is possible to get a job without experience.

“Jobs such as call centre agents, domestic workers or cleaners, childminders, customer service agents, hair dresser assistants, stock take administrators, beauty salon assistants and grocery store packers are available.

“In today’s working world, your attitude is the most important asset that a person can have. Your willingness to work hard is sometimes more important than your background,” said Sandstrom.

She advised the women to stay positive and have a smile on their face. “People like to see and have a happy person in their environment.”

The informative workshop ended with each attendee receiving a new pair of shoes donated by Blueberry Blush.

“Satin Candy also came on board with their bra collection. We have also been collecting interview appropriate clothing to donate on the day,” added Sandstrom.
