Don’t miss out on your Bellair CPF sub-forum sector meeting

BELLAIR CPF will hold its two sub-forum meetings on Wednesday, 10 July.

As Dave Laas, chairman of sector 1, said the sub-forums allow more in-depth work within the community.

“A CPF Sub Forum meeting is a more “zoomed in” platform for residents to engage with the SAPS and bring issues pertaining to that sector under their attention. The meeting is open to all residents in Sector 1, neighbourhood watches and their respective patrollers.”

“We discuss crime trends in the area, inform SAPS what we have noticed and where residents feel police can give more attention in the sector,” he said.

“The meeting is held every second Wednesday of the month and we encourage all residents to attend to stay abreast with what is happening in the area. We also encourage residents who have any complaints regarding SAPS to bring it to the attention of the sector chair, and such complaints will be escalated to the CPF.”

Sector 2 chair, Chezney Cockerell, reminded residents who fall in sector 2 that their meeting also takes place on the same day.

The sector 1 meeting takes place at St Mark’s Church in Second Street, Mt Vernon while the sector 2 meeting is held at the Revival Mission Church Hall, behind the Seaview BP Centre, at 5-11 Medway Road.
