Winston Park hit-and-run suspect remanded in custody

A case of culpable homicide is being investigated by Hillcrest SAPS.

A 43-year-old suspect was arrested for failing to report an accident after a jogger was found dead in Winston Park in last month.

The body of the 36-year-old victim was found on the side of Jan Smut Road with injuries after being hit by a vehicle.

After briefly appearing in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on 10 June the matter was remanded to 23 July.

According to KZN police spokesperson, Cpt Nqobile Gwala, a case culpable homicide is being investigated by Hillcrest SAPS.
