Wyebank retired cop graduates at 61

He received many accolades and awards for his impresive crime prevention and combating experience and skills, including The South African Police Service Gold Medal for Outstanding Service.

RETIRED police officer, General Bala Naidoo, recently graduated with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.

Wyebank’s Naidoo joined the police ranks in 1972.

He was later transferred to the KZN Provincial Headquarters in Durban as the deputy provincial commissioner until his retirement. Naidoo completed almost 42 years of meritorious service at SAPS.

He received many accolades and awards for his impresive crime prevention and combating experience and skills, including The South African Police Service Gold Medal for Outstanding Service. This award is only awarded to an officer who holds the rank of assistant commissioner or higher and who has distinguished himself by rendering services of a particular meritorious or exemplary nature, or distinguished himself through outstanding resourcefulness, leadership and sense of duty and by so an example in any branch of the SAPS.

After his retirement, he decided not to rest on his laurels so pursued his studies through the University of Zululand and graduated.
