Ashley church helps save lives with blood drive

The goal for 100 units was unfortunately not reached but the church encouraged those eligible to donate to support the SANBS.

THE Sewende Dagse Adventiste Kerk in Ashley opened its doors to the public to assist the SANBS collect 100 units of blood on Friday, 14 June.

The event was organised by the Karen Hanekom Medical missionary workers and the health ministry of the church. The goal was unfortunately not reached.

“We would love to encourage everyone who is 16 years old and older to get involved in donating and to help make a difference for a worthy cause.
We would love the public to know that donating blood is a wonderful opportunity to save a life and to help someone in need.

“We would like to thank SANBS, the donors, their families and friends as well as Chosen Independent Studies, Noah’s Ark Preschool, J.R.S Projects, CrediSeal, HJR Mobile Mac, SJE Consulting – Media Marketing, Fawn Castle Guesthouse and Ashley Neighbourhood Watch known as ARNW, for being part of this wonderful cause and helping us to give the gift of life,” the church in a statement.
