Ushaka Marine World is regarded as one of the best tourist attractions in the country.

“It was the City that had the vision to invest in uShaka Marine World, using it as a catalyst for growth in the area. Even after more than 15 years, it is a great pat on the back to receive these awards, as it means that we are doing it right, and the City made a good investment,” said Dr Khumalo.

Philip Sithole, Deputy City Manager for Economic Development and Cluster in eThekwini Municipality praised Ushaka by saying the tourist attraction continues to play a significant role in attracting visitors from around the world to the City, which in return increases revenue and sustains the economy.
