VIDEO: West Pack Hillcrest store opens customer trolley dashes
The chain, which has seen much success in other major cities in South Africa, has now opened it's first Durban store in Hillcrest.
WEST Pack Express has proven to be a popular addition to many shopper’s lists of favourite stores to stock up on all sorts of goods, from sweets to plastics, to household items.
The chain, which has seen much success in other major cities in South Africa, has now opened it’s first Durban store in Hillcrest.
As the ribbon was cut at the opening of the store on Tuesday this week to much fanfare, customers gathered to see who would be treated to a trolley dash.
Fortune cookies containing the hidden tickets which entitled five customers to do a 60-second trolley dash were drawn from a basket.

The first draw netted no winners, so they drew again, as some winners stepped forward, Sharon King of West Park Lifestyle head office who had been in Durban for the past few weeks while the store was being set-up handed out more fortune cookies since she knew there were more winning tickets to be found.
Eventually, five customers were lucky and made their way around the store for their timed trolley dashes.
