UPDATE: Driver arrested after failing to report Winston Park accident

The jogger was a member of the Winston Park Guardians.

HILLCREST SAPS is investigating a case of culpable homicide after a jogger was found dead in Winston Park on Saturday morning, 8 June.

According to KZN police spokesperson, Cpt Nqobile Gwala, the body of a 36-year-old-man was found on the side of Jan Smut Road with injuries after being hit by a vehicle.

“A case of culpable homicide is being investigated by Hillcrest SAPS. A 43-year-old suspect was arrested for failing to report an accident. He is expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court next week,” she said on Sunday.
