Talented learners will entertain

From art and music to delicious food, there is something for everyone at the school's annual fund-raiser.

ATHOLL Heights Primary School, 52 Methven Road, will host its family-centric annual Music and Art in the Park on Saturday, 8 June from 2pm.

The theme for this year’s concert is music and dance from the movies and promises to be a memorable afternoon.

About 300 learners from the school will be joined on stage by professional musos Andy and Glen Turrel, Evan Cullam, Grant Halliday, Marian Loudon and saxophonist, Ingrid Pieterse.

“We are also proud to have Sabelo Ngcobo, the talented singing barista from Talk Cafe, adding a classical touch to this wonderful celebration of art and music,” said the school’s art teacher, Debbie Crawford.

Artwork from all Grade 6 and 7 learners will also be on display for the afternoon.

A raffle will be held, with movie tickets to musical instruments to be won.

Supporters can bring their own picnic but hot food and drinks, along with other tuckshop items, will be available.

Tickets can be purchased on the day. Entrance is R40 for adults and R20 for pensioners and children.
