Get Out of Town: International band returns to SA for Barnyard Theatre Tour

With more than 35 albums and thousands of gigs under their belt, Wishbone Ash will provide an unforgettable concert experience.

WISHBONE Ash, the legendary pioneers of twin harmony guitar rock, return to South Africa with a national tour of Barnyard theatres.

The band that Lynyrd Skynyrd, Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest all cited as a primary influence will play at the Suncoast Barnyard on Wednesday, 12 June.

In the ramp-up to Wishbone Ash’s 50th anniversary, the band is celebrating its 49th year in characteristic fashion: with a world tour, dubbed XLIX (49 in Roman numerals).

Last seen in South Africa on their highly successful 2015 Live Dates world tour, Wishbone Ash make a welcome return on their XLIX world tour which kicked off at the Rory Gallagher International Music Festival in Ireland in June 2018 and takes in Canada, USA, UK and Europe before arriving in South Africa.

The band has just released Roadworks volume 5 – Live in Sacramento, which was recorded in April 2018, as well as the deluxe, limited edition Vintage Years 1970-1991 boxed set of 27 CDs featuring all of the early classic albums with previously unreleased live and studio material.
