Westville’s inspirational Thandie pens 12th book

The book focuses on the journey of a young man who defeated all odds to ensure he succeeds in life. He was shot after he matriculated and despite being confined to a wheelchair, he was determined to further his studies.

RENOWNED writer and environmentalist, Thandie Ngonelo, from Westville, is launching her 12th book which she co-authored with Siphamandla Mtsolo.

The book, The Journey of Chairperson – God will bless you in a mess was launched on Friday, 7 June at Act of Obedience Ministries, 37 Qashana Khuzwayo Road, New Germany at 6.30pm.

Mtsolo is fondly known as ‘Chairperson’ to most people as he is in a wheelchair after being shot some years ago.

Ngonelo who is the senior pastor at Act of Obedience Ministries said her late husband, Eddie, who was also a pastor, was reading a newspaper one day when he came across the story of a young man who was in hospital after being shot in Clermont.

“My husband was touched by this and located him. He put him under his wing and encouraged him to study as Siphamandla had just finished Grade 12,” said Ngonelo.

Siphamandla is now working as a social worker in Bizana as he holds a Masters Degree in Social Sciences.

Ngonelo said in the book, Siphamandla shares his testimonial while she tackles the topic, ‘God will bless you in a mess’.

Everyone is invited to the launch.

The book will be available for half price of R 150 on the night and the authors will also be available for book signing.
