Kearsney choir marks 25 years

The concert is billed as a lively and fun evening down memory lane for the whole family. Tickets are selling fast for the show, which is open to the public.

KEARSNEY College is producing a special evening to celebrate 25 years of South African energy.

The school’s acclaimed choir was birthed in 1994, the historic year in which South Africa’s first democratic election was held.

On Thursday, 20 June, Kearsney will celebrate these 25 years through an entertaining evening of rich voices and diverse song from the choir, as well as some of the school’s distinguished Old Boy musicians.

Also performing with them for this one-night-only celebration will be Angela Stevens, founder of the choir and Kearsney’s director of music from 1994 to 2008, as well as Bernard Kruger, Kearsney’s dynamic choir master from 2009 to 2015.

Doors open at 6pm and the performance starts at 7pm.

Food and drinks will be on sale at the venue before, during interval and after the show. Tickets are R120 with bookings through Quicket.
