Kloof SPCA Clem’s passion will be cherished

The Kloof and Highway SCPA's staff, volunteers and supporters will forever remember the great work done by Clem Sithole.

THE Kloof and Highway SPCA is devastated to say goodbye to one of our beloved field officers, Clem Sithole, who passed away on Wednesday, 8 May 2019.

Clem started at our SPCA in 2006 as a general worker. He was a hardworking, dedicated, reliable and gentle man.

Clem was an invaluable part of the inspectorate team, which he joined in 2013.

In 2018, he qualified as a field officer. He single-handedly collected and brought in more than 100 animals per month to our SPCA, mainly from Inchanga, Shongweni, Cato Ridge and Mpumalanga, among others. These included animals for treatment and sterilisation, as well as stray and unwanted animals.

As a field officer, Clem was proud to be able to educate pet owners, as well as farm animal owners on proper animal care and sterilisation and made a huge difference to the animals’ lives he dealt with.

Clem, our hearts are broken to have lost you so suddenly and unexpectedly.

You will always be a part of our inspectorate family and your laughter will be missed forever. Rest in peace, our Clem! Hamba kahle!

– Barbara Patrick, Kloof and Highway SPCA
