#IMadeMyMark: Sunny skies for voting day

Take some water and perhaps wear sunscreen on this warm, voting day.

IT’S a lovely, sunny day for voting with temperatures predicted to rise to 28 degrees at midday, with some clouds in the late afternoon.

Don’t forget your ID card or book, bring some water, and wear comfortable clothing and shoes, your shades and perhaps apply some sunscreen for later in the day.

The roads in the suburb were peaceful with many joggers taking advantage of the holiday and enjoying the fresh, early morning air.

There was a convivial atmosphere at the Kloof Town Hall early this morning among the folk queuing to vote.

The voting station opened on time, and the IEC staff were friendly and polite.

The ballot papers are well-designed and it is easy to spot the party you are choosing.

There was little traffic on the route from Kloof to The Highway Mail office in New Germany at 7.30am.

After voting, enjoy some time with family and friends.
