#IMadeMyMark: Golden Rossburgh couple shares fond memories at voting venue (VIDEO)

A couple remenisced about their lives together as they visited a historic school building which serves as a voting station.

WHILE many people rushed in an out of their voting station, wanting to spend as little of their time on the public holiday proclaimed for the voting day today, Wednesday, 8 May, Petrus and Ann Small shared how the venue of their voting station held many fond memories for them.

“We have lived here for almost 50 years now and are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year. This old school building was one that our children attended,” said Ann.

The couple cast their vote early in the morning on Wednesday and were pleased to be able to do so without requiring any help, despite plenty of help being available for pensioners voters at the voting station at Phambili High School, where the presiding officer, Nonhlanhla Ntombela was kept very busy helping the elderly up the stairs leading to the school hall where the voting took place.
