She spoke about her passion for dogs, especially Border Collies, and her book, My Dog/InjaYami.

Not only has she been involved in the training and/or rehabilitation of close to 4000 dogs during her career, but she’s keen on helping more dogs even now.

She brought her two Border Collies along and one of them was part of the talk, as pictured.

She was asked about the kind of harness suitable for certain dogs, rather than a collar that would choke a dog.

“The collar’s colouring is also important. For example, bright yellow colouring warns other dog handlers to keep their dogs at a distance. Kenny-Adams spoke about the correct food for your dog and, in response to another question, discussed what could be done for dogs with skin irritations,” said, Kenny-Adams.

The most important point Kenny-Adams wanted to drive home was that there is no need to punish a dog in order to train it. Training of any kind may be done in a friendly and loving manner and people should move away from coercing their dogs to behave.
