THE land invasion issue has spiralled out of control on the M19, Blair Atholl Road with protesters blocking the roads.

The protesters are near the Dischem warehouse section and are reported to be carrying weapons.
Head of Durban Metro police, Steve Middleton said they are aware of the situation and SAPS POP pop is on the way, “hopefully the situation will clear soon.
“M19 is currently closed currently, I would advise people to use the N3 or the M13 backwards to Westwood Mall vicinity,” he said.
Motorists are advised to use other alternative routes as traffic coming to or away from Pinetown has been affected.
The Highway Mail has requested comment from the Westville SAPS.

Blue Security’s community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios has confirmed that the M19 is open and that Public Order Policing along with the casper vehicles dispersed the protesters.
