St Benedict learners are united

The day began and ended with a service in the Chapel Garden and the time in between was spent fostering closer relationships between high school and primary school learners.

ST Benedict School in Pinetown held its annual Unity Day recently, a day when the normal demands of the school day are put aside and time is spent getting to know other people a little bit better.

This year, the school adopted the theme of ‘Here I am – the servant of the Lord’ and the day focussed on how its learners could serve others and choose joy.

Every high school class was assigned to a primary school class and fun activities were planned, including egg and spoon races, obstacle courses, dance-offs, biscuit decorating and more.

“The day is always a success and cements the school’s family ethos,” said Grade 2 teacher, Shareen Gould.
