PINETOWN teen, Carla-Jane Marais, is turning 15 on Friday, 26 April and has decided to do something different for her birthday.
Instead of having a fancy birthday party, she has opted to host an animal adoption day at Future Stars Pre-School on Saturday, 4 May.
This year Carla is not expecting any birthday presents, but will charge a R20 entrance fee along with two tins of dog food.

Everyone is invited to support Carla’s initiative, even people who do not want to adopt a fur baby, “they can come along and take the dogs for a walk and give them some much needed attention,” said Carla.
There will be food and drinks on sale, jumbo sale, a jumping castle, a modelling show and small pets such as bunnies and guinea pigs.
People can also bring their own pets for micro chipping, vaccination and deworming.
All funds raised and food collected will be divided between Mazarat Animal Rescue, Animal Antics Pet Rescue and Paw Prints.
