Prioritise safety during Easter holidays, says RMI

Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI) vehicle testing stations around the country will be offering motorists free safety checks on their vehicles.

WITH public holidays around the corner and participating Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI) vehicle testing stations around the country are offering motorists free safety checks on their vehicles until Thursday, 18 April.

The campaign aims to help motorists make safety their first priority this Easter holiday.

“Roads during the holidays are notoriously dangerous and extra precautions need to be taken. It’s therefore essential to have a multi-check on your vehicle to identify potential hazards, and prevent additional damage before it happens,” said Jacqui Moloi Rorke from Cathy Findley Public Relations.

She said the RMI-VTA continues to give their full commitment to Road Safety in South Africa.

“Motorists should note that this check is not a roadworthiness test, but rather a safety critical test to ensure your vehicle is free from defects before you embark on your festive season journey, with the aim being to reduce the number of road deaths this holiday season,” she said.

There are currently no participants in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Free State and Eastern Cape.
