Bellair CPF to host elections

If you want to be part of the process to ensure your community is well policed, why not participate in the election of the new CPF committee?

BELLAIR Community Policing Forum (CPF) has announced the election date for its sector forum elections.

“The sectors are separated by the N2 freeway, sector 1 is west of the N2 covering Bellair and Hillary and sector 2 is east of the N2 from Bellair to Rossburgh,” said Malcolm Naidoo, chairman of the Bellair CPF.

The elections take place on Wednesday, 13 March, at 6.30pm at the Orion Function Centre on Church Road, opposite Bellair Primary School.

“Since we want things to run smoothly, please can everyone who wants to take part to be at the meeting by 6pm sharp,” said Naidoo.

“These elections will be for a full board of executives in each sector. If you know of someone who will do well to serve or if you believe you are able to serve on the exco or make a contribution to fighting crime, please join your sector on this date,” said Naidoo adding that the sector forums offer an opportunity for the CPF to interact on a more localised basis which helps people to get directly involved in fighting crime in their neighbourhood.
