A TRUCK driver died after two trucks collided on the N3 Durban bound, between Shongweni and the Mariannhill Toll plaza, this morning.
Meditech ER and other emergency personnel were at the scene.
The truck driver, who later passed away in hospital, was found trapped in his vehicle and in a critical condition. The Jaws of Life and other hydraulic equipment were used to free the man and Advanced Life Support intervention was required.
The other truck driver was moderately injured and taken to hospital.
According to Derrick Banks, the circumstances around the accident are unclear but authorities will investigate. Traffic was severely severely affected.
