On a glorious Sunday morning,  Durbanites showed their support for CANSA by walking, running and skipping together along the beautiful promenade.

“It was an emotive time for many as some walked as a tribute to lost loved ones, others walked in solidarity for those currently fighting the disease and many survivors walked as a sign of hope that this disease will not beat them. CANSA Durban would like to thank everyone who participated or helped to make Gijima for CANSA 2019 a great success,” the organisation said in a statement.

“Cancer isn’t just a health issue, it’s a human issue. We all know someone who has been affected.  We’re challenging individuals, communities, educational institutions, workplaces and policy leaders in government to make a commitment to help lower cancer risk.”
