Durban, get ready to ‘Gijima’ for CANSA

In commemoration of World Cancer Day on 4 February, CANSA Durban will host a fund-raiser run/walk along the promenade. Sign up now!

THE Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) Durban invites Highway residents to participate in its Gijima Walk on Sunday, 3 February.

“World Cancer Day is on Monday, 4 February and the walk/run is being done the day before as Monday is a school/working day and Cansa wants to ensure that everyone who wishes to, can take part,” said Janine Kyle of CANSA.

The 5km fun run/walk is open to everyone, young and old and will take place at Bike and Bean Snell Parade, which is between the Bay of Plenty Amphitheatre and Ushaka Marine World. Registration will start at 7am and the walk/run kicks off at 8am.

Tickets can be purchased at the CANSA offices, 619 Umbilo Road, or online via Quicket at https://www.quicket.co.za/

The price is R100 for adults and R80 for children under 12 and the cost includes a CANSA wrap.

“Help Cansa to commemorate World Cancer Day. Run, skip, walk and join the fight against cancer. Let’s Gijima for Cansa!” said Janine.
