THE Excellerate Services Hillcrest Tactical Intervention Unit (TIU) arrested an intruder in Hillcrest yesterday evening.
According to the group’s marketing manager, Grant Frost, the TIU were dispatched to a positive alarm in Nqutu Road.

“A suspect, who was spotted on the client’s property, proceeded to jump the fence into an adjacent property in an attempt to flee,” said Frost.
The suspect was warded off in a nearby road by armed response officers and the TIU. He was handed over to SAPS and a case has been opened.
