PINETOWN Boys’ High School (PBHS) bids farewell to a long serving history teacher.

Jennifer Greenwood began teaching at Pinetown Boys’ in 1980 after graduating with honours in history at the University of Natal (now University of KZN).

She has been thoroughly involved in all aspects of school life.

“As a passionate history educator, she proved to be an outstanding subject head and her exceptional historical knowledge will be sorely missed,” said fellow educator, Jane Hofmeyer.

Her proudest moment as a master in charge of tennis was when her first team captain, Wesley Moodie, reached 57 on the ATP Tennis Rankings and won the Wimbledon Doubles Tennis title in 2005.

She added that she has been very happy teaching at PBHS and has never dreamt of moving to another school.

“The school management, staff and governing body would like to thank Greenwood for her loyal and dedicated service to PBHS. We wish her everything of the best in her retirement,” said Hofmeyer.
