Estate step up for project joy

The funds will go towards erecting new container classrooms for Entokozweni Pre-School.

FOCUS on iThemba’s ‘Project Joy’ classroom drive received generous donation of R50 000 from Cotswold Downs Estate recently.

The donation amount was accumulated through the Cotswold Leisure Centre’s hole-in-one fund and Cotswold Downs Management Association. Cotswold Downs residents have also been generously donating towards this project.

“With such a tremendous need in our community for quality education for very young children and research highlighting the importance of learning and nutrition during a child’s first six years, our team at Focus on iThemba is so incredibly grateful for this donation,” said Focus on iThemba’s Donor Relations Manager, Tayla-Anne Goss.

“These funds will go towards our efforts to erect new container classrooms for Entokozweni Pre-School, one of the Pre-Schools we partner with, located just five minutes from the Cotswold Downs Estate.”

Entokozweni Pre-School is currently located in an existing church building which is cramped, dark and has poor ventilation. The teachers pack up the school every Friday and set up again on Monday so the church can function over the weekends.
