Hay, check out SPCA’s new calendar!
The latest calendar for the local NPO features photos of the animals that were adopted and welcomed into their forever homes.
PURCHASE the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s 2019 calendar and you will help make a difference in the lives of animals in the Highway area.
The non-profit organisation invited its supporters to submit photos of the pets that were adopted from the local animal shelter. These images were then used in the latest calendar.
“All the photographs used in our 2019 calendar are pets who are loved and are a part of a family who chose to adopt an unwanted pet who deserved to find happiness again,” said the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s Barbara Patrick.
Donkey mother and son duo, Jessie and Buzz, were adopted by the Kloof and Highway SPCA when they were saved along with 21 other donkeys from the horrific donkey skin trade.

“When we rescued the donkeys, Buzz was a few days old and we were afraid that he would not survive. He did and is featured on the cover of our stunning calendar,” said Barbara. “Thank you to everyone for their support in making our 2019 Calendar a reality.”
The calendar costs R150. Calendars are for sale at the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s reception, its thrift shops at the Maytime Centre in Kloof, the Elangeni Centre in Hillcrest and the Uniland Centre in Pinetown.
