Pinetown police search for relatives of deceased men

The men were found on different occasions and anyone who can help with any information is urged to contact Pinetown SAPS or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

Pinetown police have appealed for assistance in tracing the relatives of three African men.

The first man is about 59 years old and was found deceased along Manqoba Road in Wyebank near Pinetown on 23 November last year with severe head injuries.

The deceased was rushed to hospital for medical attention and died few days later.

Anyone who may have information regarding the family of the deceased can contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer H J Smith on 031 325 5054.

The second man was found dead on the M7 Highway on Saturday, 25 August. He is suspected to have been hit by a car. He was wearing navy jeans, a T-shirt with navy, grey and powder blue stripes. He is suspected to be in his early 40s. He is slender in build and has a clean shaven head. Any one with information can contact Sgt Nonhlanhla Zwane on 073 144 3779.

The third man was found by Pinetown police patrolling along Crompton Street near the M13 Highway on Saturday, 1 September.

According to Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele, the officers heard two gunshots and upon inspection, they saw two men running across the M13 Highway and disappeared.

“When they went closer to the bridge they found a man who had sustained two gunshot wounds. He was still alive and told the police that his name is Nkosi Majola from Kanyamazane in Maqubeni area next to Emtakwende shelter. He was taken to RK Khan hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” said Manqele. Anyone with information can contact Sgt Zenzi Mkhize on 076 607 8883.
