Pinetown police search for missing girl (11)

The Grade 5 learner at Botha's Hill Primary School was last seen going with her 'uncle' on Tuesday, 24 July.

MYSTERY surrounds the story of a missing girl who allegedly left a note that she does not want to be found.

Sikholiwe Ayanda Blose (11) from KwaNyuswa has been missing since Tuesday, 24 July morning.

Her worried mother, Nomthandazo Blose, said according to Sikholiwe’s sister, they were on their way to school when they were approached by a man known to the family as he shares the same surname but is not a blood relative.

“I only realised that Sikholiwe was missing when I got back from work, that was when I asked her younger sibling where she was.

“We went to the man’s house and found Sikholiwe’s uniform and shoes. There was also a letter saying that we should not bother looking for he as she is going away with her uncle,” explained Nomthandazo.

Sikholiwe’s mother said the letter stated that the reason she is leaving is because her granny is abusing her and she is now going to stay with her uncle and her new mother.

“The things she wrote in that letter were strange as none of them were true. The person who has a grudge against her granny (my mom) is the so-called uncle as they do not get along and things were once so bad, their case ended up in court,” said Nomthandazo.
