Protest against fuel hike brings traffic to a halt on KZN roads
Protestors are demanding a decrease in the fuel price from R16,02 to R10.
PROTESTS against the fuel hike brought traffic to a standstill on the N3 in PMB and other major roads this morning (Wednesday, 18 July).
Reports state that both carriageways were closed at New England.

Another protest action was also reported at the N3 to Durban by Dr Chota Motala Road off-ramp.

Several roads in KZN were also blocked this morning by a group of protestors who were demanding the decrease in the fuel price from R16,02 to R10.
Although most major roads are affected, the M19 going onto the N2 is cleared and nine people have been arrested.
Traffic is severely affected on the N3 Sherwood west bound while the N3 at Pietermaritzburg is completely blocked. Higginson Highway, Mariannhill Highway heading to Chatsworth is also blocked.
