Inflatable Warrior Challenge to raise funds for Malvern children’s home

Have a bouncing good time and prove you are a warrior for a very good cause at the Malvern Children's Home's Inflatable Warrior Challenge

Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre needs a few heroes. Well, warriors to be specific.

They are holding a fundraising event which while raising much-needed funds to cover a hefty municipal account and other running expenses required to do the work they do to change the lives of children.

The Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre which cares for 120 orphaned and vulnerable children between the ages of 2 and 18 years, and through development programmes works to help each child reach their full potential by providing a safe and loving environment, 3 meals a day and access to education, therapeutic and spiritual support.

How can you help?

Sign up to participate in and enjoy their Inflatable Warrior Challenge event on Saturday, 14 July, 2018, from 9am to 2pm at Hutchinson Park Cricket grounds in Amanzimtoti.

As Lee Jarrett, Spokesman for the centre explained, the event is not just for very sporty people.

“It’s going to be a fun day out for the whole family to enjoy,” she said.

Along with the exciting activities, those watching or participating will also be able to enjoy with a flea market and food and beverages on sale.

How to take part

To participate in the Inflatable Warrior Challenge, you will need to enter as a team of four in any of the five various categories divided along age and gender lines.

Category one is for those in senior primary school – aged between 10 to 12 years, Category two is for high school aged teens between 13 and 17. Categories three and four, both sure to be hotly contested is for men and ladies respectively. Finally there is a fifth category, for mixed teams made up of adult men and ladies.

“Teams will compete in their categories through a course of 13 inflatable to win the title of ultimate warrior along with other fantastic prizes,” said Jarrett.

Each team entry costs R200 and you entrants are allowed to enter in more than one category.
