Woman dies after been knocked down by a car on M13

ER24 paramedics assessed the woman and found no signs of life.

A WOMAN, believed to be in her 20s, was killed this morning (Friday,6 July) when she was knocked over by a light motor vehicle on the M13 near  Stapleton Road, Pinetown according to Russel Meiring from the ER24 communications office.

“ER24 paramedics arrived 6.40am to find the body of a woman lying in the centre median of the highway. A light motor vehicle was found parked a short distance away,” he said.

Paramedics assessed the woman and found  she had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life.

“Unfortunately, nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead.”

The driver of the light motor vehicle fortunately escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
