Local dancers twirl to New York
Five students from Lana Roberts School of Dance were awarded scholarships to attend the American Academy of Ballet Summer School 2019.
THE Lana Roberts School of Dance held their annual American Academy performance awards on Saturday, 9 June where five students were awarded scholarships to attend the American Academy of Ballet Summer School 2019 at Purchase College in New York.
The adjudicator, Analiese Umana graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from the Purchase College Dance Conservancy in 2012. After her graduation Analiese danced for the Baltimore Ballet for two seasons rising to a soloist.

Currently Analiese is faculty adjudicator and executive coordinator for the American Academy of Ballet where she re-stages the choreography of the Founding Director Mignon Furman and teaches/adjudicates the Performance Awards program in the United States and Internationally.
Lana Roberts School of Dance offers Cecchetti ballet classes as well as modern AIDT and contemporary classes.
