FOREST View Primary School’s SPAR Star of the Month is Grade 3 learner, Jessica Marshall, who was awarded a dance scholarship at the American Academy of Dance summer school in New York in 2019.
Jessica has always loved the sport, has performed at the Playhouse and always excels at her annual ballet exams.
She has been dancing since the age of three and her mother, Charmain, said, “Jess has such a love for dancing that she danced before she could walk.”
The school’s public relations officer, Jean Montile, said, “The opportunity to dance at the American Academy of Dance summer school was a dream come true and so well deserved of our very own FVPS ballerina!”
In addition to all the time Jessica spends doing ballet, she still has time for a busy sporting and school life.
She is a naturally talented athlete and was said to be a pleasure to coach at school.
She was the swimming captain for her house this year and also plays, soccer, hockey and netball.
“She is a polite and helpful learner and is an asset to our school and a wonderful ambassador for Forest View Primary School,” said Jean.
