Hills will come alive with song at Rotary festival

Prepare to be wowed by the talent on offer at this year's exciting Festival in the Hills.

THE Rotary Club of Kloof is excited to present Festival in The Hills 2018, hosted by Curro Hillcrest Christian Academy, on Friday, 24 August from 6.30pm.

This year the KZN Youth Wind Band, conducted by Russel Scott, is joined by the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir, 700 primary school choir learners and MC and comedian, Darren Maule.

They will all come together to perform on stage for an evening of wonderful family entertainment.

Joining the Festival in the Hills this year is Sofisosethu School Choir from the Wembezi, near Escourt.

The Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School, in partnership with the Department of Education in KZN, has established an outreach programme, The Legacy Project, with the aim of using choral music to develop leadership, listening skills, teamwork and English language skills in rural schools.

Using their expertise in choral music, the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School is impacting more than 600 children each week, with Sofisosethu being one of the participating schools in The Legacy Project.
