Shaylee shakes it up

The talented and caring Shaylee was recently crowned Tiny Miss KwaZulu-Natal at the Mzantsi Africa pageant.

CRESTHOLME resident, Shaylee Saunders, participated in and claimed the crowning title, Tiny Miss KwaZulu-Natal, at the Mzantsi Africa pageant in Ballito recently.

The event, hosted by the RoleModels Foundation, sees the titleholders assist at various charity projects around the country.

Shaylee is six years old and is a Grade 1 learner at Waterfall Preparatory School. As the holder of the Tiny Miss KwaZulu-Natal title, she will work with and help provide support for the foundation’s three most vulnerable groups within society: pre-school children and youth at Imfundo Educare, abused women and children at Asante-Neo-Life Project and senior citizens, part of the Tamakhulu Project.

To claim her title she first took part in a morning interview which was followed by a gala pageant in the evening. She also was awarded the junior photogenic award and the junior style award.

She was beyond excited to win in her category and could not stop talking about it for days after the event. Shaylee has previously claimed the Petite Miss Upper Highway 2016 and Tiny Miss Glenwood Village 2017 titles and will enter the Mzantsi Africa Nationals towards the end of the year.
