Align yourself with AIDS trust

Take part in the Pilates marathon fund-raiser at Hillcrest High School this weekend.

STRETCH it out at Manuela Woodrow’s Pilates marathon fund-raiser on Saturday, 19 May from 8am at Hillcrest High School.

The Hillcrest High School teacher will be tackling her 10th Comrades Marathon and to make the experience extra special she has decided to run for the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust (HACT).

Manuela will be hosting the Pilates fund-raiser at the school with instructor, Geraldine Panzenboeck from Pilates Body and Motion. The cost is R70 per person for one hour, with classes starting at 8am, 9am and 10am. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring along their own yoga or Pilates mat.

“I’ve always wanted to run for charity and with this year being my 10th Comrades and HACT being selected as an official Comrades charity, it just seemed the perfect way to mark getting my green number,” said Manuela.

Manuela’s colleagues and learners have also thrown their support behind HACT’s Comrades campaign and are currently selling beaded bracelets for R10 each to help Manuela reach her target of raising R5 000 for HACT before race day on 10 June.

RSVP to Manuela by Friday, 18 May via e-mail at woodrowm@hhs.co.za.
