Donations pour in at Pinetown child welfare

Pinetown Child and Family Welfare Society co-ordinator, Ellen Attwell conveyed her gratitude to everyone who responded to their plea.

IN response to an article in the Highway Mail where donations were requested for the Pinetown Child and Family Welfare Society, a Pinetown based company, First Group took up the challenge.

Funds were raised and various items were collected for this important cause at the company’s customer support office.

On Monday, 26 March, First Group handed over food, toiletries and other much needed goods at their office in Crompton Street, Pinetown.

“We are happy to support the worthwhile work that The Pinetown Child and Family Welfare Society does and we look forward to supporting them in the future,” said managing director at First Group, Shaun Lamont.

Pinetown Child and Family Welfare Society co-ordinator, Ellen Attwell, said she is lost for words with the donations that have been pouring in.

“We are so grateful that there are so many people willing to help organisations such as ours. We would like to convey our sincere gratitude to First Group for their generosity.

“We also received another huge donation from Atholl Heights Primary School and we are thankful to them.

A huge thank you also to the Lions of Westville for their ongoing support, SPAR/Build It group who donated a Jojo tank for our children’s home in KwaDabeka and everyone who has been coming in to drop off food parcels, we are forever grateful,” said Attwell.
