Lucky draw adds hope at Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust

Hope Club members stand a chance to win between R150 to R1 000 simply by contributing a minimum amount of R50 a month to the organisation.

THE Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust (HACT) recently held its first Hope Club lucky draw giving away three cash prizes to its members.

Gill Dearman won the first cash prize of R1 000 and Fliggy Publishing won both the second and third prize of R300 and R150 respectively.

Hope Club members get one draw entry per R50 donation up to a maximum of R1 000.

The draw took place at the organisation’s centre in Hillcrest and was overseen by HACT’s auditors, Marwick and Company Inc.

The aim of HACT’s Hope Club is to raise funds for its Respite Unit, a 24-bed facility which provides free in-patient care to children and adults suffering from advanced stages of AIDS and or AIDS-related cancers.

Anyone, aged 18 and over who is a South African citizen is eligible to join the club. The minimum membership is R50 a month and can be paid by debit order or EFT.

The club’s membership is also open to local businesses, churches and special interest groups.
