Eye-catching ellie mural brightens Botha’s Hill

Feast your eyes on this masterpiece at the Embo Craft/Woza Moya store at the top of Botha's Hill.

RENOWNED Durban artist, Giffy Duminy, recently completed a gorgeous rendition of one of South Africa’s Big Five at the Embo Craft/Woza Moya store in Botha’s Hill.

In partnership with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the campaign was to highlight the illegal trade of threatened wild animals.

“It was part of a video campaign which will be aired across every airport in South Africa,” said the proud artist. “Don’t let street art be the only way your children can see wild animals, was the influencing factor behind the work and the message that the clip will portray,” said Giffy.

He described the project as a dream come true as he has admired the work of the WWF for the longest time.

“My goal is to fly across Africa and paint murals on walls and then continue with local work to enhance the beauty of Durban,” he said.
