Explore your options at free career expo

If you're unsure of your career path after high school, take part in the Rotary Club of Hillcrest's career expo in March.

THE Hillcrest Rotary Club has teamed up with Hillcrest High School to host a career expo for Grade 11 and matric learners at the school’s hall on Thursday, 15 March from 2pm to 7pm.

“Not only have the academic learners been catered for, but the more hands-on folk as well. Catering and hotel schools, cake decorating, performing arts, a welding school and for the more adventurous, The Wilderness Leadership School and a diving school,” said organiser and Hillcrest Rotarian, Fred Kroone.

The diving school has donated a scuba course which will be raffled in a lucky draw.

The Rotary Club of Hillcrest will also have a stand on the day to promote the long term and short term exchange student programmes.

“As Rotary, vocation is one of our core spheres and our club has partnered with Hillcrest High School to showcase to the future generation what employees expect and what is expected of them,” said Fred.

Entry to the expo is free. The tuck shop will be open for food and refreshments.

Exhibitors still wanting to host a stand at the event can contact Kerry Lee Dawson on 031 765 1215.

The cost to host a stand is R850.

Funds generated will be donated to the school.
